Until the night I happened upon it and took this photo, I had no idea that a skating rink had been set up in Bryant Park, together with all of these shop stalls near the fountain. At the time I did it, this was my most involved processing job. A woman walked straight across the fountain in front of my camera. She even stopped for a moment and looked right at me for one shot, and that pose showed up prominently after running the images through Photomatix. I had to mix and mask out different parts from different shots using layers in Photoshop. I alos had to fix the sky, which had a lot of noise after Photomatix HDR processing, and I had to pull in some of the lit signs from the rink in the background from a darker exposure.
