Why You Carry A Camera – Always

Unexpected Sunset
Unexpected Sunset

This is what I saw walking home tonight after getting off of the bus.  I couldn’t even see properly as I was returning from my annual eye exam and my pupils were still dilated.  Still, I could tell that was an amazing silhouette behind the park, so  I pulled out my Olympus Pen E-PL1 and took a shot.  This is straight from JPEG, with a little boost to saturation and vibrance, plus a tweak to the shadows to show a bit of the park in the foreground.  I still can’t quite see right, but I think this is pretty good.  I couldn’t wait so I’m making this a bonus post today.

  1. Even with bad eyes, you still see the great shot! Great get!

    1. Thanks, Jim. Fortunately the E-Pl1 has an automatic landscape setting. So I activated that, squinted, and put my trust in autofocus.
