Shadow Tracks

This continues our journey under the M Train elevated subway line. This is at the corner of Palmetto Street and St. Nicholas Avenue. In the foreground and curving off to the right you can see the remnants of the street level tracks from either a trolley or a ground level subway line. The M train elevated tracks are directly above. This is the first time I found a use for the solarization filter in Nik’s Silver Efex Pro. Unlike yesterday, the tilted horizon in this photo is intentional.

On another note, the HDR Collaboration group I participate in has another edition out today over at Scott Frederick’s blog. Go check it out.

  1. Very creative Mark. I like both the solarization and the tilt. Well done!

  2. Wow, that solarization filter really makes for a dramatic image. Really like the creativity on this.
