As we wound down this year’s #nXnw adventure, our group of 7 split up. Four members (Justin Balog, Michael Criswell, Robert Lussier, and Dave Wilson) stopped for an afternoon and overnight in Grand Junction, Colorado, while the remaining three Rick Louie, Chris Nitz, and myself, drove straight on through to Denver. Over the last few months, Rick, Chris and I have gotten a bit envious of the images that the other four captured at the Colorado National Monument near Grand Junction, but we did manage to arrive at this spot at a pretty perfect time. This is taken from a rest stop off I-70 heading towards Denver in the Vail Pass.
