The combination of red neon and a severely dark atmosphere (due to a scaffolding overhang) drew my attention. I shot it from a couple of perspectives, and played with it afterwards, and never quite got the result I envisioned. Still, I’m putting it up here because sometimes the audience loves an image more than I do. Also, I do not quite dislike it; it is more that I expected, more.
For reasons I can merely guess at, the stores in New York most likely still to feature neon are dry cleaners/tailors, barbers/hair cutters, shoe repair stores, and bars/restaurants.
