The Wild Gang (of Turkeys)

One morning during nXnw2014, when re returned to our rented home on Mt. Desert Island in Acadia, and saw this group of turkeys moving through the woods nearby.  A few of us tracked them and tried to get shots through the trees.  Suddenly they emerged from the trees and lucky me, I was the only one on the road to catch them as they crossed.

It turns out there are many names for a group of turkeys, which are most commonly called either a “rafter” or, yes, a “gang.”
