This View From Bear Mountain was taken from an large ledge outcropping maybe 1/3 t 1/2 of the way to the summit. I actually found it preferable to the higher view point for photography purposes. This was taken a little more than a year ago last October on a Sunday afternoon when I drove up to the park to squeeze in a quick hike and some fall color sunset shooting. I timed my hike a little more closely thaan originally planned, so I reached the summit bare moments before sunset. This shot taken during the upward hike showcases a beautiful fall afternoon sky and view.
