The Lawrence mill light-painting workshop mentioned in my last post took place on a Saturday evening. I spent the night at a nearby hotel, and drove home on Sunday. I stopped in Worcester Massachusetts, not quite an hour out, for Sunday Mass and an early afternoon photowalk in a city I had never previously visited. The light was harsh but it and the scenes still presented some opportunities.
I was very pleased to find this scene, and considered myself fortunate that the reflected streetscape was so interesting on its own. I find extra fascination in the way that the distortion in the reflection increases the further away it gets from me. I am not sure what causes this effect. For reference, the unreflected street is shown below.
