I wonder whether the Park service has plans to maintain these fences and other structures, or will allow them to slowly fall and decay with the passing of time.  Bodie State Historic Park calls the maintenance of partially decomposed structures “arrested decay.”  Eastern State Penitentiary calls it “preserved ruin.”  Without intervention, the man-made structures that elevate Mormon Row from a fairly common beautiful view (common in the neighborhood of Grant Teton National Park, anyway) to one of the most iconic and beloved photographic subjects in the world.  

I’m not raising an alarm or anything.  I just don’t know and haven’t been able to find anything on the topic. I would expct some intent to preserve the building at least, but I would really hope all the elements currently there will be maintained in their current status for decades to come.
