West 14th Street 2010

It has been a while since I posted some street work. This has been sitting in my library for over a year. I crossed the street to get a shot closer to the couple, and meant to get even closer but traffic interfered.

  1. I like this shot Mark. You’ve captured a nice display of urban stuff . . . motion, calm and the bike gives great balance.

    1. Thanks, Mark. It’s luck as much as anything else, but I also like the way the woman and cab are moving in opposite directions.

  2. Don’t you love when you find old photos, that you forgot you had, and realize how awesome they are?

I know this was taken in NYC, but in may ways it looks like streets in Toronto, Ontario. Great shot. πŸ™‚

  3. This is a really nice street scene, Mark. I like how the trees have framed this with the couple and pedestrian in the center. The B&W treatment also gives this a bit of a timeless feel. Nice pull from the archives. πŸ™‚

  4. Great shot. The inclusion of the traffic and other elements adds life but also isolates the couple.
