When I saw this I was pretty certain it was one of two things, an possibly both: either (1) an art project, or (2) a blog and potentially book project. It turns out it’s the former. The Work Office (TWO) describes itself on its twitter page as an art project disguised as an employment agency. This Mending and Encouragement station in Times Square is part of its self-imposed mission.* Apparently they handle small-scale sewing jobs and offer advice.
* Before proofreading [ed. somebody proofreads this stuff? it doesn’t show] this read “elf-imposed mission,” which I almost chose not to fix.
