Pistil Packing Macro

The hardest thing about shooting flower macros outdoors is a light wind. It was a hot, muggy day and the air seemed absolutely still, but in fact there was an intermittent light breeze, so minimal that it gave no relief and was hardly noticeable, but was also enough to keep this and all the other flowers in our garden moving randomly, and usually just before I hit the shutter button.

By the way, please take a moment and visit the latest round of the HDR collaboration I participate in at TheaterWiz’s blog, a cell block on The Rock.
