For photographers, Memorial Day is easy. There are plenty of memorials to choose from. Veteran’s Day s harder.

Basically I cheated an this is an image more suited for the former than the latter. This is the Civil War Memorial at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, companion to its sister memorial in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

    This looks like an old place Mark, with character? We love these places, great shot, anyone famous from he civil war buried there?

      Hi Mike, No names that I recognize, although there are several generals and some Congressional Medal of Honor winners. So there are certainly some notable, if not famous, Civil War veterans buried there.
