UPDATE: A helpful person on Twitter informed me that these are lifeguard shacks, not Red Cross units. I changed the post title as s result.

I think these are Red Cross offices, even though there’s no signage except for that white painted cross on the side of one of them.

I also do not know whether this section of boardwalk survived Sandy or was this one short section rebuilt first. As shown yesterday, boardwalk was completely swept away from nearly this entire, quite long section of the beach, and has not yet been rebuilt.
