Colfax is a healthy city, but it’s Main Street is a true mix of thriving businesses and empty storefronts.  It is all about where people do their shopping, I expect.  When the nXnw crew was in town in June we twice ate breakfast at a fine little diner down the block from here, and took the opportunity to grab some shots of the streetscape before heading inside.
