Another shot from my recent midday photowalk in Worcester, Massachusetts. The bright, high sun did not deliver beautiful glowing light, so I tried to meet the challenge. When I am out in such conditions, I look for scenes that are interesting regardless of the light, and for odd corners with reflections and shadows where the light works. Sometimes contrasting light is the best one can do.
I was taken by this doorway with its odd mix of colors and unusual shaft of light coming through. The flora shadows also caught my eye. The end product is not quite what I expected, but then that’s part of the fun of creating.
