Went for Mickey, Got Milk Instead

2019 Prime Lens Experiment – Week 5

I’m still running with the 50mm. Last week I went to 10th Avenue and 15th Street hoping to find a good composition using the temporary exhibit celebrating the 90th Birthday of Mickey Mouse called Mickey: A True Original.*   They have some great art on the outside of the building for the exhibit, and I took several shots, but I couldn’t make it work.  So I also took this frame of one of the few remaining classic covered pedestrian bridges between buildings left in NYC. As I was taking it, I also noted the Milk banner hanging on the right and made a mental note to look it up. It turns out to be for a photography and film studio located on the eighth floor of a building on this block. I never would have guessed. I thought it was some sort of random banner for milk.
