Racquet & Tennis Club

Prime Lens Experiment – Week 40, 28mm lens

The spot from which I took this image is the plaza for the Seagram Building on Park Avenue. After I graduated from law school, I worked in this neighborhood for 5-6 years and ate lunch there regularly.

So I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I never figured out that this building is the Racquet & Tennis Club until I looked it up for this post. I’m usually more curious than that, but I have also noticed, every now and then, that there are a few meaningless mysteries I choose never to look up. It’s almost like I’m conducting a test to see if I ever learn the answer organically.

I’m not sure whether looking it up for a blog post counts as natural or forced. But here it is.
