I’m getting a lot of hits from people searching for “E-PL1 and HDR,” but the visitors don’t seem to find what they’re looking for. I tag each photo with the camera and at least some of the methods used in processing, so popular tags such as E-PL1 and HDR show up on the home page, which is where the search takes them. Then, for some reason, they don’t look around and try to find a photo with both elements. I hope that the name of this post will change that.
This is a basic HDR photo, taken with the Olympus Pen E-PL1 . The E-PL1 is a fine camera for HDR shots. It does not do exposure bracketing. It can create 3 shots, and you can control the exposure variation with a maximum of +- 1. While that isn’t the most extensive amount of flexibility, I have taken a lot of perfectly good HDR shots with those settings. The E-PL1 also shoots in RAW format, which is a definite plus for HDR shots. You can even sometimes do a single-shot HDR, and I’ll post one of those tomorrow.
