North Rustico is a town that sits on the north shore of Prince Edward Island in Queens County. The town’s primary industries are fishing, tourism, and agriculture, and it also functions as a bedroom community for PEI’s capital and largest city Charlottetown.

You would not know it from this or even most of the photos I took on this trip, but Hurricane Dorian had passed through and caused considerable damage less than a week earlier. The area was even without power just a couple of days before we arrived.

You could see some of the damage not far from this spot, as directly behind me when I took this shot (actually shots – this is a composite panorama of multiple images) is a beach and the Gulf of St. Laurence.
