Walt Disney Concert Hall Study No. 4

I want to do more shots like this – abstract close-ups of architectural details and patterns. While I scout around for suitable subjects here in New York, I decided to revisit my archive of images from Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert  Hall in Los Angeles, which I photographed last April. This is the first time I rendered one of the images in black and white.

    1. Hi Kristi, you didn’t miss it when you were at Disney. It’s not at Disney World or Land. It’s the premiere concert hall in Los Angeles, built by the Disney family and named after the patriarch.

  4. The b&w really does this justice. Nice job on the processing.

  9. This building seems made for black and white photography. I’d love to get a chance to shoot it sometime. I think you’ve done a terrific job with this shot and capturing a wide range of tonalities. Nice!

  10. Another excellent architectural abstract, Mark. I love Gehry buildings and this particular one is right at the top of my architecture photography bucket list.
