I shot this using the same technique as in this image of the Hugh O’Neill building about 2 blocks away, allowing me to capture much more in a vertorama of the building than I could in a single shot.
And DAMN but I love those stairs. Just look at them. Once upon a time we knew how to make something look both industrial and elegant at the same time. This is 19th Street in the Flatiron District between 5th and 6th Avenues early on a Sunday morning.

12 Dec 2011Not the style of staircase you would associate with this building. Love the little extra sneaky view of it in the next level up. The two yellow posts on the sidewalk, and the ‘other’ lit window on the left really balance this up beautifully. Very well seen!

12 Dec 2011Outstanding image, Mark. That staircase really pops and is highlighted by the building lighting. Well done, sir. 🙂

12 Dec 2011Really nice Mark. The staircase is the first visual draw. Like the colors too.
