One thing I’ve learned very recently about composition is the value of a wide-angle lens, and getting very, very close to a subject. Had I realized this even 3 weeks ago, the above shot might have looked very different. It might have looked a lot more (at least in composition) to the one Trey Ratcliff posted yesterday. So I’m actually kind of glad I hadn’t learned that yet, so I can at least offer a different perspective on the same subject. This view also gives a better view of the ribbon and bow that accent the building for its Christmas decoration.
