I shared a black and white version of this exact image just a day or two after I captured in back in October. This is a small lake called Hessian Lake that sits at the base of the mountain at Bear Mountain State park in Harriman, New York. I had just climbed down from the summit where I captured the sunset, and decided to capture some longish (30 second) exposures over the lake.
It was actually much darker than this image, which is slightly overexposed – enough to brighten things up and make details visible without getting so bright that you lose detail in the brighter areas.
